Today, the Senate unanimously approved two resolutions sponsored by State Senator Elder Vogel (R-47).
Senator Vogel’s first resolution designates March 29, 2011, as “Farm Bureau Day in Pennsylvania.”
“We all know agriculture is our number one industry in Pennsylvania,” Vogel said. “By adopting this resolution today, we honor over 50,000 Pennsylvania farm and rural families represented by the Farm Bureau for their contributions to the Commonwealth and to the Commonwealth’s agricultural industry. To the members of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, we say thanks for all you do.”
Senator Vogel’s second resolution recognizes March 24, 2011, as “National Teach Ag Day” in Pennsylvania.
“Agriculture educators contribute to a strong and effective education in our schools, and positively impact student educational growth by causing them to pause and consider a career in an agriculture-related field,” Vogel said. “By passing this resolution, we honor their important efforts.”
