Portersville Valve Company, a manufacturer of valve and valve actuators for the oil and gas industry is moving to Lawrence County, according to Senator Elder Vogel. Governor Tom Corbett announced the company’s plans on Friday (October 25).
Portersville Valve plans to move from Butler County to a new 60,000-square-foot facility in Shenango Township, Lawrence County. The company will acquire new land and invest more than $4.7 million in construction, new equipment and employee training. The expansion is projected to create 25 jobs within the next three years in addition to the company’s current 50 employees.
“This project is a collaborative effort involving the Lawrence County Industrial Development Corporation and the Governor’s Action Team and has received substantial financial support from the Department of Community and Economic Development,” Senator Vogel said. “This is great news for the community and another boost for our local economy with the planned addition of these new jobs.”
