ROCHESTER, PA – Senator Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) announced over $1.2 million in Multimodal Transportation Fund state grants will be awarded to municipalities in Beaver and Butler counties.
“Our roads act as a lifeline that connects our communities, our commonwealth, and our nation,” said Vogel. “These municipalities will greatly benefit from these grants as funding is an important part of the road repair and revitalization process to ensure people have safe pathways to use as they travel.”
Beaver County:
White Township received $200,000 for roadway improvements through out the township.
Butler County:
Cranberry Township received $625,000 to install safety and connectivity upgrades at the intersection of Brandt Drive and PA Route 19 located in the township.
Evans City Borough received $200,000 for the replacement of the Harrison Street culvert located in the borough.
Lancaster Township received $230,000 for road repairs and upgrades throughout the township.
The Multimodal Transportation Fund program is intended to provide financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies and rail and freight ports in order to improve public transportation assets that enhance communities, pedestrian safety, and transit revitalization.
The program is administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development under the direction of the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
