A $40,000 state grant will be invested to beautify vacant lots throughout New Castle, according to Senator Elder Vogel (R-47).
Lawrence County was selected to receive the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (CCPP) grant from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to support an Urban Tree Revitalization Project to establish conservation areas on vacant lots throughout New Castle, according to Senator Vogel.
The CCPP provides financial and technical assistance to local governments, land trusts, river and trail organizations and other non-profit organizations for the planning, acquisition and development of park, recreation, conservation and greenway areas.
