Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to You and YoursWarm wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year filled with joy and laughter. May you and your family enjoy a holiday season that is marked by hope and love. My Harrisburg, Rochester, and Cranberry Township offices are closed Dec. 24, 25, and 26; and will reopen on Friday, Dec. 27 at 8:30 a.m. Our offices will also be closed on New Years Day (Jan. 1, 2025) and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8:30 a.m. Also, PennDOT Driver License Centers will be closed today, Dec. 25 for Christmas, and on Jan. 1, 2025, for New Year’s. Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website. Wishing You a Joyous Festival of LightsOne of the most important holidays in the Jewish faith – Hanukkah – begins today, Dec. 25 and lasts for eight days. I hope this festival of lights brings blessings for everyone in your family as your candles burn bright. Chag sameach! Highlights in the 47thI had a great time being able to attend Conway Borough’s holiday party last week and take part in congratulating Beaver Valley Regional Police Chief Adam Johnston on his retirement. Chief Johnston dedicated 30 years to the police department and always showed unwavering devotion to his fellow officers and the communities he swore to protect. I wish Chief Johnston all the best as he begins this new chapter as well as the new incoming chief of police, Sergeant Mike Priolo.
